Rajaa Elidrissi is a Moroccan-American journalist based in Queens, New York. She’s currently a producer for MSNBC’s AYMAN, where she write about foreign policy and American politics. Prior to this role, she spent six years at Vox as a reporter, researcher and producer that specialized in global issues and foreign affairs. Through her reporting, she’s helped Vox producers create in-depth video explainers on topics like Cairo’s new capital, Colombia’s coffee crisis, corruption in Lebanon and the expulsion of Palestinians. She’s also produced her own videos on wars in Sudan, Gaza, Ukraine and Afghanistan.

Elidrissi holds an M.S. from Columbia Journalism School’s investigative program. At Columbia, her reporting focused on domestic investigations, like ICE’s COVID-19 testing protocols in Louisiana. During her program, she led a partnership between Columbia, THE CITY, and Vox for a video and investigation about burials on Hart Island. She also holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University, where she studied anthropology and Middle Eastern studies. 

Outside of her day job, Elidrissi loves teaching journalism at the undergraduate level and you’ll find her working on a novel based off her father’s life.
